For years, the platform has connected healthcare providers and laboratories, enabling clinicians to search, compare, order and retrieve results of genetic tests from labs across the U.S.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-md\">With the latest release, we\u2019ve focused on supporting the insurance workflow \u2013 adding health plan coverage information and prior authorization support tools \u2013 as well as enhancing the existing capabilities already available in the tool.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-md\">For more information about the features and benefits of the platform, view the product sheet <a href=\"http:\/\/www.concertgenetics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/The-Concert-Platform-Product-Sheet.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"s2\">What this means for our customers<\/div>\n<p class=\"body-md\"><strong>For users of our free search tool<\/strong> \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/app.concertgenetics.com\/apps\/login\/#\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Genetic Test Finder<\/a> \u2013 this release includes the addition of several new features, such as side-by-side panel comparisons and advanced filtering options (read\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.concertgenetics.com\/blog\/genetic-test-search-better-than-ever\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">more here<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-md\"><strong>For our subscribing provider organizations<\/strong>, this means more support for the insurance workflow, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"body-md\">Insurance coverage information on a test-specific basis,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"body-md\">Coverage criteria in a simple checklist format, and<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"body-md\">Identification of which tests need prior authorization.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"body-md\">Many customers tell us these are critical capabilities at a time when coverage criteria for genetic tests is becoming more nuanced, and when prior authorization programs are increasingly requiring input directly from ordering clinicians.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-md\"><strong>For our health plan customers<\/strong>, the new capabilities in the platform open a channel for health insurers to communicate medical policies, network laboratories and prior authorization requirements to clinicians on a test-specific basis during the test ordering process.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-md\"><strong>For laboratory partners<\/strong>, these enhancements will enable us to further expand the user base of the platform and the corresponding exposure for partner labs who benefit from integrated ordering and result return. In addition, labs receive valuable ongoing market intelligence to prioritize the strategic direction of test development.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-md\"><strong>For the U.S. healthcare system overall<\/strong>, we are driven at a deep level to support the delivery of precision medicine at scale by helping connect the genetic health information network (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.concertgenetics.com\/blog\/connecting-genetic-health-information-network-whitepaper\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">more on that here<\/a>).
